Forget the gambling or late-night partying, when I was in Las Vegas my amusement was going to be posing with a wax figure at Madame Tussauds. Yes, that’s how I roll. Party animal.
Madame Tussauds Wax Museum in Las Vegas, Nevada
1. Jerry Springer
We were greeted at the door by talk show host, Jerry Springer and I was ecstatic that he was wax. I wasn’t in the mood for paternity tests, flying chairs or to hear about obscure fetish

2. Cameron Diaz
Peter was hoping that Cameron wasn’t made of wax. But, she certainly was. It would of been okay either way because she was apparently wearing a wedding ring. Mysterious, since she has never been married.

3. Will Smith
I was immediately sucked in by Will’s entrancing eyes. I stared at him for about five minutes thinking that maybe I was being punked and he was going to stand up any second. I poked his eyeballs. He was a Madame Tussauds fake.

4. Hugh Hefner and 5. Bradley Cooper
Posing with a wax figure is on my bucket list, so I hastily chose giving a smooch to Mr. Hefner. But, then I saw the Sexiest Man alive. I definitely should’ve been kissing him.
6. Simon Cowell
Peter did his best job at imitating the X Factor host. But, he did a better job with the next personality…
7. Snoop Dogg
Snoop was surrounded by ladies at Madame Tussauds when we walked up. They were each debating whether or not they wanted to pose with him. The majority turned and walked away forgoing the photo opportunity. I guessed they were not fans. Hmm? I forced Pete to do his best at being a “Bad Ass” anyway.
8. Oprah
Look, I met Oprah! Well, sort of. Okay, not really. But, I couldn’t resist snapping a photo even though I am sincerely hoping that one day she will be real.
Have you ever been to the Madame Tussauds wax museum? Who did/would you pose with?
Traveling Soon? Use my Favorite Resources for Booking Your Trip!
Book Your Flight
Skyscanner is my favorite flight search engine, because it checks dozens of airlines so you can easily find the best fare deals. You can also select ‘cheapest month’ to find the lowest fares for your destination (I use this all the time!).
Book Your Accommodations
I use both Booking.com and Expedia for hotels, because each offers a couple different hotel choices and I like to compare the reviews on each one. If you have a group or are looking for more of a home atmosphere, head over to VRBO or AirBNB that has houses, apartments and even just a room for rent in every price range.
Book Your Rental Car
If love the freedom to explore like I do, driving from place to place is the best option! I always book with Discover Cars for the best prices and top brand options.
Book Some Fun Tours!
Viator and Get Your Guide are my go-to search engines for cool bucket list experiences! Each one can have different tours, so check both—why limit yourself, right?
Don’t Forget Travel Insurance
Travel can be unpredictable. Whether it’s a last-minute cancellation, an injury, or (ugh) theft, things happen. That’s why I recommend never leaving the country without travel insurance. Here are my faves: Safety Wing and World Nomads.
Get Packing & Travel Essentials Ready
Check out the Bucket List Journey Amazon Store to find all my favorite travel essentials. Everything from Packing cubes, to travel adapters and toiletry containers to walking shoes.
*Lastly, check travel.state.gov for visa requirements and safety information.
Love this! My hubby and I went to the one in London during a visit and he couldn't resist posing in the EXACT same way as Peter next to the Simon Cowell wax model :)
That is too funny! We are planning a trip to London in April and we may just have to go to the one there too ;)
Hilarious photos – I used to live right near the original Madam Tussauds in London and never went – slack of me!
For some reason, the closer the attraction is to my house the more likely I haven’t been to it. Weird! I have to change that asap!
I went to a wax museum in Canada but it wasn't that great. Although I did get a picture of me sitting with the Simpsons on their couch! As you said good cheesy fun :-)
The Simpsons couch would be cool (& cheesy) :)
