Hyatt Zilara: Cancun’s Top All-Inclusive Adult Only Resort (The Best Restaurants & Pool!)
About Hyatt Zilara Cancun
As I mentioned, the Hyatt Zilara is conveniently located along Cancun’s hotel zone, in the Southeastern part of Mexico in the state of Quintana Roo. One of the most outstanding things about this location is not even the incredibly gorgeous beaches with warm turquoise waters and the heavenly weather, but the resorts core values that are centered around health and wellness in addition to the traditional Mexico fun.
With all the 5-star amenities you will find in the resort, I honestly do not know if you’ll ever want to leave. But if you do, there’s souvenir shopping, restaurants and clubbing in a matter of minutes.

Dining at Hyatt Zilara
I’ll be honest with you, apart from the spa and beach, it is the wide variety of dining options at the Hyatt Zilara that got me really excited. I love food! There are 6 restaurants to choose from and they do not disappoint.
Naturally, being in Mexico you’ll want to indulge in some of the traditional dishes and you can do so at their two gourmet Mexican restaurants, Maria Marie and Cantina la Adelita. But, there’s so many more options to choose from that don’t include enchiladas and guacamole. Dine on delectable asian fusion cuisine in the contemporary Asiana where you can choose to eat teppanyaki style, belly up to the griddle where you can see a chef show like no other. The open-air Pelicanos Restaurant and Beach Bar is the perfect place for Caribbean Fusion dishes with an exceptional view of the sea. If you like lots of options then don’t miss Spice’s buffet with stations that are filled with International dishes. Don’t worry about your morning coffee, because Casa Del Cafe has got you covered. I got a cappuccino everyday with a yogurt parfait and gluten free chocolate cake—breakfast of champions!
For a real special dining experience you will definitely want to book an evening at Chef’s Plate. The 6-course prix fixe restaurant is set in an intimate room with a wine sommelier handy to assist in making recommendations. My meal there featured and organic menu with the a delicious black bean soup with goat cheese cream.
In addition to the restaurants there are five bars to choose from—my favorite was the swim up Trade Winds. Don’t forget to try their signature drink–Los Rosa!

The Pools & Beach
There are two pools here that are connected to one another and span the length of the resort, plus an infinity pool. Cozy cabanas and lounge chairs surround the refreshing water and there were always plenty of vacant ones available.
Of course in Mexico you will want to take a dip in the warm water of the Caribbean Sea and Zilara has a long, powdery white stretch of it a few steps from the pool.

Entertainment
One of the things that impressed me the most about the resort is the live entertainment in the atrium. I saw a Cirque du Soleil style show that was incredible to watch an left me gasping at the performers talent. Of course there were also little games and events planned throughout the day.
One memorable afternoon they blocked off a section of the pool for a foam party. The music was pumping and so was the foam! The pool was a blanket of white!

Health & Wellness
Now THIS is where the Hyatt Zilara really excels. Let’s start with the spa:
The Newly Renovated Spa
The newly renovated spa has 11 treatment rooms spread over 22,800 sq. ft., and is nothing but pure relaxation inspired by Mayan traditions. You’ll want to try out their hydrotherapy circuit that combines warm and cold water at varying pressures to relax, rejuvenate and detoxify your skin, mind and body at large. The beauty parlor and Aromazen ritual will stimulate your senses as you get a full body workup of exfoliation and beautification.

They also offer a interesting Alchemy Class where you learn how to blend aromatherapy oils to create your own body scrub and oil moisturizer. By mixing different notes that attract you, you will make a perfect smelling blend to use on your own.

Exercise
With a large focus on health and wellness, you will be impressed by the workout facilities that Zilara has to offer. They offer daily workout classes, like yoga, pilates on the reformer, pole dancing and zumba.Plus, you have a fully equipped gym if you’d like to forgo a group class. I took a relaxing morning yoga class that overlooked the sea and a challenging pilates class.

The Rooms and Amenities in Them
Not only are the rooms tastefully decorated but they are also very spacious and have a cheerful Mexican feel to them. You can choose from 307 rooms divided into 6 different categories:
- Junior suites
- Ocean view junior suite
- Oceanfront junior suite
- Oceanfront luxury
- Ocean view swim-up suite
- Presidential suite
Most of these suites come with the kind of amenities that you would expect to find at a 5-Star resort such as LED TV, bathroom, coffeemaker, mini-bar, toiletries, a safety deposit box and air conditioner. However, it is the Presidential Suite that has it all (as is to be expected!). It offers you designer toiletries, living and dining rooms, a telescope for stargazing, a double whirlpool tub and a reserved beach cabana.
If you go for the all-inclusive adults-only vacation with the “Ocean view swim up” option, you get to stay in a room that lets you walk right out of the balcony into a semi-private oceanfront pool!

If you are thinking maybe you want to take a vacation with that special someone or get the girls together for a trip to remember then you really should include the Hyatt Zilara Cancun on your resort hotel bucket list.
