This year has already been incredibly busy with my Bucket List Journey having taken me to a whopping five continents in the past eight months. There has been travels to Thailand, Hong Kong, Chile, Argentina, Tokyo, Palau, London, Kentucky, Toronto, Africa, Idaho, Louisiana and, not to mention, some major bucket list checks in my very own home of Sonoma County. Oh my.
But, it’s not over yet…
SPAIN
I am heading back to Spain, where I will be putting my jammy red wine obsession on hold to do a fizzy cava tour on the outskirts of Barcelona. Sounds like the perfect reason to put down the Syrah glass. Right? We will surely be tasting many of the cavas that have been rated as the 50 Best Cavas, as well as getting an education about how Spain does bubbly. It is a certainty that there will also be some tasty eating along the way. Tapas anyway?

FRANCE
Since I will already be in Spain, why not pop over to the neighboring France to soak up all that Paris has to offer. My hubby will be meeting me for this part of the trip and the bucket list itinerary will include kissing under the Eiffel Tower, getting spooked at the Catacombs, seeing the Mona Lisa up close and learning the art of making the perfect Macarons (as well as eating a crap load of them).

GALAPAGOS & ECUADOR
After overdosing on Macarons in Paris I will be traveling to Ecuador and then the Galapagos Islands on the Ecoventura expedition yacht. Yep, little old unrefined me will be on a yacht! I am envisioning something like all the photos circulating of Beyoncé and Jay-Z lounging around in bikinis while basking in the sun. It’s probably not going to be anything like that, but it will still be my first time in the Ecuador, first time touring the Galapagos Islands and first time on a yacht. Three birds, one stone. Bonus.

That is what’s on the schedule for now, though I am sure that more unexpected opportunities will arise that I just can’t possibly say no to. A trip to tour the castles of Ireland would be nice. Hint, hint.

I guess you’re not technically supposed to call ‘Cava’ Champagne but anyway, if the Champagne or Cava is of real good quality, then it should be enjoyable, and if there is tapas to accompany the bubbly, that will enhance the experience greatly.
Yes, there must be delicious tapas to enhance any sort of bubbly :)
