Call me crazy, but I was a little nervous about snowshoeing through part of the almost 1 million acres of Glacier National Park in Montana. The shoes just seemed ginormous, especially for someone who is prone to tripping over her own barefoot feet.
The snow started to drop as soon as we pulled up to Base Camp in Bigfork, not uncommon for this time of year in the Glacier Country of Montana. The current weather didn’t matter much, as long as the ground was covered in a blanket of white we would be able to spend the afternoon dogsledding.
The word ‘buzz' has a dual meaning for me today. The first being the warm, fuzzy feeling I was getting from drinking my Keller Estate bubbly in the afternoon. The second was the humming noise coming from the hundreds of honeybees surrounding the white wooden bee hives at my feet.
This roadtrip through the winding coastal roads of Mendocino county was a special treat. Peter and I were taking a spontaneous travel adventure three hours away from our Northern California home to see something first hand, something that I had only witnessed in pretty pictures on Pinterest, Instagram and such. I was on a mission to ogle it, touch it, walk on it and of course take my own dazzling photographs.
In the Southern part of Maine you will find the charming coastal town of Kennebunkport. It is the place most commonly known as being the summer home of former president George H. W. Bush. But, there is so much more to Kennebunkport besides ogling Walker's Point, the location of the Bush compound.
