After two years of dedicated blogging I have finally been published! Okay, it was only in the local Argus Courier newspaper (they featured my Location Independent post). But, it still counts. I will still be checking this one off the old Bucket List.
Does this officially make me a writer?
Being published raised all sorts of questions surrounded by this one: Is there a difference between being a writer and a blogger? As a blogger I write. A lot. People read what I write. A little. When do you turn from blogger to writer? Or are all bloggers writers?
I have interrogated several folks and have heard everything from "if you are writing a blog, you are a writer" to "you are only a writer if you get paid for your work".
What do you think?
